SEMI S2 & S8 Guidelines
On-site Assessment
SEMI S2, S8, S10, S14, S16, S22 Guidelines Evaluation
Project Summary:
ESC secured product orders intended for US based Semiconductor Fabs (microchip manufacturing sites). TIE was contracted to complete a SEMI evaluation to SEMI S2 and S8, including an onsite safety evaluation, findings report and, finally, a SEMI Safety Evaluation Certificate.
The Client:
ESC are industry specialists in PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) equipment, custom vacuum solutions and high voltage test equipment, suppling custom-built technology to users in markets including the USA, Europe and the UK.
Project Duration:
One week of onsite assessment working closely with ESC staff and, subsequently, remote working on completion of SEMI report and issue of certificate.
Our Role:
TIE visited the ESC site and assessed the MicroELAS Wafer processing system against the industry standard acceptance criteria, the SEMI Guidelines. Following the onsite visit, an initial findings report against these SEMI Guidelines and then worked with ESC personnel to ensure the System, and associated documentation, met the industry criteria. This collaborative approach allowed TIE and ESC personnel to quickly move through the requirements to complete the checklists as laid out in the SEMI Guidelines.
Our Role:
ESC ensured complete support for TIE. They made themselves available to operate the System and for any questions concerning operations. Through collaboration both onsite, and post visit, ESC worked to ensure any queries were expedited quickly.
Final Outcome:
Once the results from the onsite visit were collated, the SEMI Evaluation report, and final SEMI Guidelines checklists, were compiled. Lastly, after an internal TIE review process, a SEMI Safety Evaluation Certificate was issued.
